Join us as we begin work on what the future of forensic examiner didactic trainings, clinical opportunities, and program development could look like in the State of Michigan. This workgroup will come together twice this August for this critical work - the first session on August 14, followed by the second on the 28th.

Please join us for another informative case review scheduled for August 20, 2026, from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM.

MGLFE strives to create a low-pressure, supportive environment where Michigan Forensic Examiners can share interesting cases and learn from each other while also connecting to peers around the state. Even if you have never presented at a case review before, we encourage everyone currently practicing in the field to participate!

COME AND JOIN IN FOR THE AUGUST MGLFE JOURNAL CLUB!

The intent of the Journal Club is to explore current research applicable to our practice. Each meeting of the Journal Club will consist of reporting on multiple articles chosen that are relevant to a specific topic.  We then discuss both the information presented as well as our own experiences.  Finally, we identify opportunities to apply the new knowledge to our practice.

The topic for journal club and the articles to be read will be emailed about two weeks before the meeting.  Because of the potential for using articles that are not open-sourced, we need to have members sign up for the email group if they are interested in attending Journal Club.

Join the Avalon Healing Center FE Team, fellow Forensic Examiners and your Multidisciplinary Team colleagues for the 4th Annual Court Testimony Prep & Mock Trial Sessions Event on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 and Thursday, September 3, 2026.

• Build your expert witness court testimony skills and participate in multiple mock trial sessions, all in a fast-paced event packed with learning, networking, and fun!

• Day One (Wednesday, September 2): 11:00 AM – 4:30 PM

• Day Two (Thursday, September 3): 8:00 AM – 1:30 PM

• $30 per person (includes all sessions, meals, snacks & beverages).
